Marking the first major of the 2019/2020 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season is the MDL Chengdu Major, which will comfortably be supported with the world-class Secretlab sitting experience

As the first Major of the season and the start of the qualification race for TI10, the MDL Chengdu Major will undoubtedly set the pace for the rest of this season’s DPC. With most teams having also reinforced their squads in the post-TI9 shuffle, expect this Major to be a highly-anticipated one where teams will be giving everything they’ve got, in order to get their momentum going as well as for a shot at raising the first Major trophy of the DPC season.

Prizes

With a prize pool of a whopping USD$1 million, the top 4 teams will also be walking away with a total of 15,000 DPC points—highly-coveted scores that will culminate in qualification for TI10.

  • 1st: $300,000 | 4,850 DPC points
  • 2nd: $160,000 | 3,000 DPC points
  • 3rd: $110,000 | 2,100 DPC points
  • 4th: $80,0001,350 DPC points

Format

Group Stage (Nov 16 – Nov 17):

  • Sixteen teams are split into four groups of four teams, playing in a GSL format.
  • Top two teams advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs.
  • Bottom two teams advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs.
  • All games are Bo3.

Playoffs (Nov 18 – Nov 24):

  • Double-elimination format.
  • Lower Bracket Round 1 is Bo1.
  • All other games except the Grand Finals and Lower Bracket Round 1 are Bo3.
  • Grand Finals is Bo5.
