“We aimed to capture the essence of the Akatsuki’s philosophy in our design, while ensuring that the design elements carry seamlessly from the chair to the desk, and the rest of the setup,” said Gabriel Lim, Senior Industrial Designer at Secretlab. The collection’s unified theme highlights the organization’s striking black and crimson aesthetic, inspired by their iconic cloaks adorned with red clouds.
“A group of rogue ninjas striving to achieve peace through global domination, the Akatsuki are more than just villains. They represent a complex blend of individual strength and collective purpose,” Gabriel said. “Our Akatsuki Edition desk uses recognizable design elements and motifs that reflect their enigmatic and rebellious identity.”
The Secretlab MAGNUS Pro Akatsuki Edition pays homage to the group’s clandestine nature with shrouded silhouettes of its nine members. “Cloaked in darkness and secrecy, the Akatsuki thrive in shadows,” Gabriel added. The MAGPADTM Desk Mat also showcases each member’s unique ring, symbolic of their roles within the organization and the ritualistic sealing of tailed beasts into the Gedo Statue. “Every ring bears a kanji character that represents a distinct concept, and no two are alike,” said Gabriel, “paying tribute to every Akatsuki member’s role and significance in the organization.”

“Our special edition MAGNUS desk accessories provide an extra touch of personalization and functionality, while putting effortless cable management at your fingertips,” Gabriel said. “Our goal is for fans to feel like they are truly part of the Akatsuki — and nothing is more iconic than their logo.” The red cloud emblem, featured prominently on the black cloaks worn by the Akatsuki, serves to unify its members under a collective identity and shared mission.

Launched during the anime’s 20th-anniversary celebrations in 2022, the Secretlab TITAN Evo Naruto Edition and Akatsuki Edition chairs honor the titular hero Naruto Uzumaki and the Akatsuki. Every Naruto Edition chair is adorned with a specially designed metal-plated logo tag, emblematic of the headband worn by all shinobi to pledge loyalty to their village. The same forehead protector is featured on the Secretlab TITAN Evo Akatsuki Edition but with a crossed-out logo. “It’s a stark reminder of the Akatsuki’s renegade status, and a statement of their defiance against the norms of their world,” said Gabriel.
