The all-new Secretlab ATLAS™ is our first task-focused ergonomic chair, designed for modern professionals who need task-oriented support. Inspired by some of the most popular productivity techniques, Secretlab ATLAS enables deep bursts of focus and breaks in between for sustained performance throughout the day.
Our engineers and designers drew on a decade of experience producing high-performance seating for some of the world’s most demanding users, including professional athletes who sit for over 16 hours a day. Secretlab ATLAS reimagines how a task chair should look and feel, with our proprietary foam technology and a high-back silhouette that delivers complete spinal support.
“The traditional task chair hasn’t changed for decades, and isn’t built for the way we actually work today. Static posture is the enemy of prolonged focus, yet most chairs still lock you in a single position.
With Secretlab ATLAS, we’re taking the best of Secretlab and bringing it to support task sitting. We’ve applied a decade of ergonomic design and material expertise to create a chair that supports the entire rhythm of your day — not just the hours spent upright in focus mode, but also the essential periods of rest in between.”
Vincent Sin, Head of Product Development & Industrial Design at Secretlab

The science of task-focused sitting
“When you’re focused on crunching numbers or mapping out your next big project, your sitting posture differs compared to when you’re casually gaming or simply watching Netflix at your desk.
Task-focused postures complement productivity, which means a neutral upright spine, relaxed shoulders, and feet firmly grounded to create a stable base.”
Dr. Lindsey Migliore, PMR Physician, Founder of GamerDoc
As you sit throughout the day, your body naturally shifts to ease the build-up of fatigue and discomfort. This is supported by research around stress migration and how stress accumulates over long hours.* Micro-adjustments and movement are key to redistributing this stress, especially after extended hours at your desk.
In fact, productivity experts recommend alternating intervals of focused work and rest to prevent both physical and mental fatigue. This called for a sitting solution that could seamlessly support both.
We designed Secretlab ATLAS with a synchronous tilt mechanism to encourage dynamic sitting, where active movement and posture changes come naturally.
*McGill, S. (2023) The science of stress: How to reduce back pain while sitting.

Synchronous tilt mechanism
When you lean back, our backrest and seat base move in sync with you in a carefully calibrated 2:1 ratio.
For every 2° of backrest recline, the seat base tilts by 1°. This facilitates a more open hip-to-torso angle that reduces strain on your back. At the same time, the seat base stays relatively level, even across the full 120° recline, keeping your hips in a neutral position and minimizing pressure on the thighs for better circulation.

Focus and rest modes
The synchronous tilt mechanism lets you switch between two modes. This dynamic sitting helps to reduce fatigue over long hours.
- Focus mode: Lock the synchronous tilt mechanism via the easy-access lever to maintain a more upright posture for deep focus.
- Rest mode: Unlock the lever for free movement during breaks.
Rethinking the task chair for more comprehensive support
Task chairs have remained largely unchanged for decades, featuring mesh and backrests that stop in the middle of your back. Secretlab ATLAS changes that.
Every design choice — from its foam structure to its unique geometry — has also been tested and certified by United States Ergonomics to deliver measurable ergonomic benefits, including optimal pressure distribution for long-term support and the freedom to shift positions naturally for sustained focus.
Pressure-relieving support. Built on our signature foam technology.
Most conventional task chairs feature mesh that is tightly stretched across the seat base. A limitation of this design is that it supports the body from the sides, creating uneven tension and pressure peaks. This often leads to discomfort and numbness in your thighs and lower back.
Secretlab ATLAS takes a different approach. Our advanced foam composites support your body from the bottom up, distributing pressure more evenly across the seat and reducing localized pressure build-up. This helps to relieve aches and fatigue, even after hours at the desk.

[New] RE-CURVE™ Backrest: Full-back support with integrated lumbar
Comprehensive support across all areas of your spine is crucial for relieving strain over long hours. But most task chairs are missing support in the upper back and neck area. That’s why Secretlab ATLAS is designed as a high-back chair that delivers complete spinal support, including your head and neck.

Our new RE-CURVE™ Backrest with integrated lumbar features a distinctive lordotic curvature, sculpted using over 10 years of user data and testing, and a hybrid spring-and-foam structure. This delivers a full-back fit that follows the S-shape contour of your back and neck, gently curving forward to support the natural forward tilt of your head during sitting — all while micro-flexing with your body and movement.

To give your neck even more support, we redesigned the fan-favorite Magnetic Memory Foam Head Pillow to complement Secretlab ATLAS’ unique silhouette.
Precisely fitted to you
Everyone is built differently. To ensure you get the best possible support, we engineered a suite of adjustable features that let you tailor Secretlab ATLAS to fit your body.

4-level tilt force adjustments
Dial back the resistance for a more gentle rocking motion or relaxed recline during your breaks. When you’re ready to return to focused work, lock the chair tilt in an upright position.

Adjustable seat depth
Adjust the seat base forward or backward to further align your hips and spine. This accounts for variation in leg lengths, keeps your lower back in full contact with the backrest, and relieves pressure on the back of your knees.

Adjustable low-set seat base
Our seat base features adjustable height settings and is intentionally set 4cm lower, making it easier to plant your feet on the ground for greater stability and support in an upright posture.
Designed for the modern professional
Secretlab ATLAS features our slimmest silhouette yet, paired with our proprietary materials, finishes, and neutral colors, including the all-new Dune, to complement your space and quietly elevate the room around it.
