Senior Product Designer Alicia takes us through how they designed a full suite of accessories around MAGNUS Pro.
Every component of the Secretlab MAGNUS Pro Sit-to-Stand Metal Desk feels like part of a seamless whole. Our engineers spent hundreds of hours designing and tweaking every element and accessory to make the user experience as fluid and effortless as possible — both in terms of form and function.
To streamline your cable management and keep your space tidy, our engineers designed magnetic cable anchors and sheaths that work anywhere along the steel chassis of our standing desk. The width of our cable sheaths perfectly matches the width of the desk legs for a flawless fit.
”You can really feel the difference when all the components are designed specifically for a desk,” said Alicia, Senior Product Designer on the MAGNUS Pro. “If you’re putting together off-the-shelf pieces, everything has a different aesthetic, finish, and design language. With our MAGNUS accessories, everything feels like a natural extension of the desk.”

Secretlab MAGNUS Desk Riser
With a custom-engineered C-clamp mount, the Secretlab MAGNUS Desk Riser fits perfectly into the cable tray opening of MAGNUS Pro. Its ultra-sturdy steel frame holds up to 154lbs (70kg), and is stable enough to let you install your monitor arms directly on the riser — a first on the market. Fully compatible with our magnetic cable anchors, the desk riser seamlessly extends the usable space on MAGNUS Pro. Our engineers also took extra care with the screws and fasteners, making sure that they were completely hidden for an even sleeker look. And with a matching, powder-coated obsidian finish and the same clean, angular lines that define MAGNUS Pro, MAGNUS Desk Riser feels like a part of your MAGNUS Pro from the moment you install it.
Secretlab MAGNUS Monitor Arms
Monitor arms are also a key part of any enthusiast’s setup. They provide an even wider range of adjustments for your monitor and free up space on your desk. But many existing solutions are difficult to install — and may look out of place on your MAGNUS Pro desk. Every Secretlab MAGNUS Monitor Arm is characterized by clean, sharp lines, taking cues from MAGNUS Pro’s deft melding of minimalist design and functional maximalism.
MAGNUS Monitor Arms feature a C-clamp mount that slots into the cable tray on your MAGNUS Pro desk, retaining full access to the rear hinged cover. Our engineers also designed a unique top-screw mount that allows the entire mounting mechanism to be accessed from the top, so there’s no need to fumble with cumbersome clamp screws beneath your desk. With integrated cable routing channels and magnetic cable guides, display and power cables are easily routed along each arm and hidden in your cable tray. This keeps the surface of your MAGNUS Pro free from unsightly cords and tangled cables.
To hold the biggest ultrawide monitors, we engineered the Secretlab MAGNUS Monitor Arm (Heavy Duty Edition) — designed for screens up to 35lbs (16kg) and 57” wide. A unique double lock mechanism and heavy-duty tilt pivot keeps your ultrawide screen secure, ensuring it never tilts forward or sags.
Secretlab Laptop Mount Attachment
To make sure that nothing ever seems out of place on your desk, we also engineered a dedicated mount for your laptop. The Secretlab Laptop Mount Attachment attaches to our MAGNUS Monitor Arm and lifts your laptop away from your desk, freeing up valuable space. When designing our laptop mount, we looked at existing stands on the market and set to work figuring out how to improve them, adding a dedicated handle cutout for easy adjustability. This also allows you to take advantage of the full range of motion of our MAGNUS Monitor Arm, so you can quickly reposition your laptop when you switch between sitting and standing on MAGNUS Pro.
Secretlab Premium PC Mount
The standard ATX PC case can eat up a large swath of desk real estate. But setting your PC on the floor quickly leads to dust buildup. So we designed the Secretlab Premium PC Mount to free up space on your desk, while still keeping your PC elevated.
We measured the most popular cases on the market, including the NZXT H5, H7, and H9 and Fractal Define series, to ensure that our mount would be able to comfortably secure them in place. The Premium PC Mount also lines up perfectly with the width of MAGNUS Pro’s leg column, so your PC almost looks like it is suspended in space.
Large cutouts on the left and right of MAGNUS Pro’s cable tray let you easily route cables from the back of your PC to the tray, no matter which leg it’s mounted on. And with a dedicated power outlet in the cable tray, thanks to MAGNUS Pro’s integrated power supply column, you can power your PC without needing to plug it into a wall outlet. This means no extra cables running from your standing desk, so you never have to worry about cable strain.
Secretlab Magnetic Ethernet Cable Extender
While MAGNUS Pro’s innovative integrated power supply column solves the problem of snagging power cables, a wired Ethernet connection still requires you to run an Ethernet cord from your PC to the wall or a nearby router. To eliminate cable strain when you raise the height of MAGNUS Pro, the Secretlab Magnetic Ethernet Cable Extender conceals a coiled and retractable Ethernet cable that neatly extends when you raise your desk height, effectively taking the strain off the cable. The cable extender magnetically attaches to either desk leg on MAGNUS Pro — once it snaps on, you can hardly tell it’s there.
